Hockey and everything that comes with it can be a significant investment! We have introduced payment installments by credit card (and we always have provided the ability to pay multiple installments by cheque).

There are a number of organizations that may be able to provide financial support.

KIDSPORT ALBERTA

KidSport is a national non-profit organization that helps remove financial barriers so children can participate in organized sport. They offer financial assistance for registration fees and provide access to necessary equipment for kids up to age 18.

Their mission is simple: no child should be left on the sidelines. Every kid deserves the opportunity to experience the confidence, community, and joy that sport can bring.

As part of KidSport’s commitment to creating safe and positive sport environments, families and athletes are encouraged to learn about and use the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) Safe Sport reporting system. This national, independent platform allows individuals to access support and confidentially report concerns related to maltreatment, abuse, discrimination, or other Safe Sport issues within sport.

JUMPSTART

Jumpstart is a national charity with a commitment to local communities. Organized sports connect kids to their communities. Canadian Tire Corporation recognized this and makes sure that money raised stays where it is donated. Canadian Tire Corporation is Jumpstart’s biggest supporter as it funds all the general administrative expenses of Jumpstart, which means 100% of customer donations go directly to help kids in need.

CARSTAIRS MINOR HOCKEY 'EVERYBODY PLAYS FUND'

Carstairs Minor Hockey Association has our own hardship fund that is available to help families in need. The fund is available to help towards registration costs, but generally doesn't cover the costs entirely as the fund needs to be shared across our community.

We always accept donations to the 'Everybody Plays' fund via e-transfer at any time during the year and we thank any families that donate money to this fund during the registration process.
