how and when to pay

This page explains the options and deadlines when paying your child's registration fees.

 

credit card

We can accept a single credit card payment or credit card installment payments as part of the online registration form.

If you choose to pay by installments (via credit card), the dates for payments are preset to:

  1. April 15, 2020
  2. May 15, 2020
  3. June 15, 2020
  4. July 15, 2020
  5. August 15, 2020
  6. September 15, 2020
  7. October 15, 2020
  8. November 15, 2020
  9. December 15, 2020
  10. January 15, 2021

So, the earlier you register - the more installments you are able to spread the total cost over.

This is our preferred method of payment as it is completely automated, however paying by credit card does attract transaction processing fees which we have to pass on as we are a non-profit. We have decided to pass these costs on to those who use them rather than raise fees for everybody and we still have multiple payment methods available that don't attract processing fees (e-transfers, cheque).

To pay by credit card:

  1. Select the online payment option during registration and follow the directions given
  2. Transactions will show up on your statement as WPY*CARSTAIRS MINOR HOCKEY

INTERAC E-TRANSFER

You can send one or multiple e-transfers to help spread the cost - there is no additional charge for this. We are set up to auto-accept e-transfers so no need for passwords! Some banks allow you to preset a number of e-transfers to make it easier to make multiple payments.

To pay by interac e-transfer:

  1. During registration, choose the offline payment option
  2. Send payments to treasurer.carstairsmha@gmail.com (you can send as many payments as you like, your account has to be paid in full by Jan 31, 2021)
  3. If you send in multiple payments, you can keep a track of what you've already paid by checking your teamsnap account at teamsnap.com and checking My Registrations
  4. In the comment/notes box, please ensure you put in your child's full name to make sure we assign the payment to the correct hockey family account

CHEQUE(S)

To pay by cheque:

  1. During registration, choose the offline payment option
  2. Decide whether you will pay by one cheque or multiple post-dated cheques (all cheques must be dated to allow payment to be received by our payment deadline of Jan 31, 2021)
  3. Make your cheque(s) payable to Carstairs Minor Hockey Association
  4. Mail your cheque(s) to Box 773, Carstairs, AB T0M 0N0
  5. If you want confirmation that your cheques have been received, include an email address

CASH

Starting in the 2020/2021 year, we do not accept cash for registration fee payments. As a point of reference, we've had nobody use this payment method for registration fees for over 2 years so decided to move away from it as an option.


PAYMENT DEADLINE

All payments must reach the treasurer by January 31, 2021 to allow your child to continue participating in team activities such as games and practice time.
